THE LEAGUE WE PLAY IN...
There are three localised leagues in the Scottish Junior Football Association’s East Region.
The North Division includes some of the clubs based in Perthshire and all of the clubs based in Angus, including
Dundee.
The Central Division consists of some clubs from Perthshire and all of the clubs from
Fife.
The South Division is made up of clubs from the Lothians.
The three winners of the North, Central and South Divisions are promoted to the twelve-team East Region Premier League, with the bottom three teams each relegated to their respective local league.
Broughty Athletic currently play in the Premier League.
The winners and runners up in the Premier League are promoted to the East Region Super League, in a straight swop with the Super League’s two relegated teams.

Whitton
Park in Broughty Ferry is located on the north side of Arbroath Road (A92) at the point where the road widens to accommodate Claypotts junction to the immediate east of the ground.

Park, Broughty Athletic's ground was re-named
Whitton
Park in 1989 to commemorate Eddie Whitton, who served the Club with great distinction for forty-five years.
The neat ground, which can accommodate 2,500 people, is a very pleasant place to watch football on a nice day, but spectator facilities are basic.
There are grassed, sloping embankments on either side of the playing pitch and a flat grassed area behind the goal at the Arbroath Road (south) end of the ground.
There is a refreshment bar is situated within the Clubhouse at the Arbroath Road end of the park but there is no cover for onlookers in any part of the ground.
Please note: Under the terms of the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975,
Whitton
Park is not a designated sports ground and thus does not require a safety certificate from the local authority.

FROM THE SOUTH – VIA THE
TAY
BRIDGE (A92)
Please note that the following route from the
Tay
Bridge to
Whitton
Park is all on the A92.
1. Exit the bridge using the right hand slip road which is the continuation of the A92.
2. From the roundabout follow East Dock Street (A92). Stay on the A92, along Broughty Ferry Roadand turn left at the lights at the junction with Greendykes Road (A92).
3. Go through the first roundabout, continuing up Greendykes Road (A92) on the outside lane until reaching the roundabout at the end of the Kingsway (A972).
4. Take the fourth exit on the left into Arbroath Road (A92) and continue beyond

FROM THE EAST – VIA THE ARBROATH – DUNDEE ROAD (A92)
1. Follow the Arbroath – Dundee road (A92) to the Claypotts Junction on the eastern edge of
Dundee.
2. Just beyond the Claypotts Junction of A92 and B978 junction,
Claypotts
Castle can be seen on the left.

FROM THE WEST – VIA THE
PERTH – DUNDEE ROAD(A90)
1. Follow the A90 from Perth (or the
Friarton
Bridge) until the Invergowrie roundabout is reached on the western outskirts of
Dundee.
2. Continue straight ahead on the A90 (known here as Kingsway West) until the Forfar Road Junction is reached. (This is now traffic lights – still shown on many maps as a double roundabout.)
3. Continue along the now Kingsway East which changes from the A90 to the A972. Continue through a roundabout with a church on the left, a second roundabout with a retail park on the left until a third roundabout signals the end of the Kingsway.
4. Take the second exit on the left which is the A92 Dundee to Arbroath road.
5. Continue along the A92, beyond

Claypotts
Park on the left.

1. Follow the A90 southwards until the Kingsway (A90/A972) junction is reached. (This is now traffic lights – still shown on many maps as a double roundabout.)
2. Take a left turn into Kingssway East (A972).
3. Continue along the A972 through a roundabout with a church on the left, a second roundabout with a retail park on the left until a third roundabout signals the end of the Kingsway.
4. Take the second exit on the left which is the A92 Dundee to Arbroath road.
5. Continue along the A92, beyond

CAR PARKING FACILITIES
There is some very limited car parking accommodation provided for around forty cars immediately in front of the main entrance on Arbroath Road.
Much of this capacity is taken up by players and officials and on-street parking should be considered.
