» BOWLS ENGLAND
It has happened! - the arrival of Bowls England - the new modernised unified body of the English Bowling Association and the English Women's Bowling Association. Sport England gives the definition of modernisation as follows:- "The process of continuing development for a NGB (National Governing Body) towards greater effectiveness, efficiency and independence" Bowls England will anticipate and respond to the numerous and various needs of Members. In this changing world, Counties and Clubs increasingly require support in facing the many challenges. "One voice one sport" will have a greater impact in the wider environment.

» Burghfield Area Community Responders
On our Opening Day 2011 we had a visit from Richard Jackson (Jacko) who is a Burghfied Area Community Responder. This was in response to our donation via our annual fundraising for Berkshire Granfers Bowling Association. Burghfield Area Community Responders are a team of volunteers who are there for emergency life support. They carry Medical Backpacks containing oxygen and an Automated Defibrillator (AED) which enables them to attempt to shock a cardiac arrested patient back to life in those vital first 4 minutes and maintain life-support until an ambulance arrives. They work under mandate of the South Central NHS Ambulance Service (SCAS) and are trained and dispatched by their staff & controllers. BACR itself, is a voluntary organisation that administers the CR-17 kits to the area on a (soon to be) 24 * 7 basis. For further information, or just general interest please take a look at their website.
» CLUB NET
Raise funds through sponsorship. Save money when purchasing goods on-line. Access support services for your Club. Elite sport will always attract lucrative TV and media exposure, but there are many opportunities for amateur clubs and associations too. Because individual clubs (and even some associations and governing bodies) tend to be quite small, it is difficult for them to find these opportunities and exploit them. ClubNet's network of thousands of sports clubs and other sport organisations across the UK changes all that, and makes these opportunities a reality.
