sorry but Ricks moved "up north" so we have lost our web site king - I've been volunteered!! to take over, so here goes, I hope to keep you up to date with all the club news.

for those new to us this is

-----what we do-----

CLUB RUNS----------  most sundays throughout the year we leave the car park rear of Bourne Post Office at 9.30am for a 35-45mile club run -everbody welcome to join us for free !   Check out web site for specials -longer rides -rides to watch Lincoln GP and Melton Cicle pro races etc.

TIME TRIALS----------on wednesday evenings between april and august we run the Be-Well 10 mile TT series and also join Spalding Fenland and Peterborough cycling clubs in the Hereward League handicap TT series

minimum age for TimeTrialing is 12yrs old ,under 18's need parental conscent form signing

Be-Well league is Ј1.50p per event for adults & free to under 16yrs old  - Hereward league Ј2 per event (but has cash prizes!!!!)

ROAD RACING---------- we enter the Lincs League RR series and promote a Road Race for British Cycling 3/4th cat licence holders

race race costs vary.

GO RIDE----------  a Bristish Cycling programme to train 9 to 16 yr olds and we are very fortunate to have our own qualified BC coach and the club is also working towards achieving go ride accreditation  

MEMBERSHIP----------

  Ј10 for adults and Ј3 for under 16's

BE-WELL TIME TRIAL No 3

The sun attracted 27 riders to round 3 of the Be-Well league at the Greatford circuit although some did complain it was windy -never happy these cyclists!!.
Mark was fastest overall in 23m27s and has now won all three rounds and is leading the series on maximum points.
With a great improvement of 3m28s Tom Carter won the handicap event on the night beating another personel best time of Robi Watson (28m01s)to take the handicap event by just 2secs
Andrew Wade takes over at the top of the handicap table
The next time trial is the first round of the inter-club Hereward league series on thursday 15th held by Peterborough CC on their Southy Wood course.

BE-WELL TIME TRIAL No 2
although we had a break in the showers for the race only 10 riders came out on a cold night for round 2 of the Be-Well TT series.With Alister not riding as he was preparing to race in the Isle of Man at the weekend Mark had a comfortable win (23.11) to take the lead in both overall and handicap events .Barts bike  held out this week to  come 2nd (24.53) and first on handicap.Louise was first lady and 3rd overall in 25.28

BE-WELL TIME TRIAL No1
The first round of be-well league saw 24 riders contest the 10mile Greatford circuit.
Mark Botteley won in 23m41s but watch out Mark as Alistair Slater was only 15 secs behind!!(wont be long before Alistair wins)
Dave Wright came first on handicap and well done to juniors Robi Watson(31.29) Jamie Michand (47.26) and Tom Carter (47.42) who road their fist ever time trial
Mechanical faults saw Bart Kieres and Matt Ticehurst (strong enough to break his chain-watch out all next week) unable to finish
