Southam United Bowls Club was founded in 1984, when a green was laid at their Headquarters Banbury Road, Southam, CV47 2BJ. The Club is mixed and is made up of approximately 30 men and 20 ladies. Sixty fixtures per season are all mixed, plus the ladies section have about 15 matches on a Wednesday and the men compete in two midweek leagues, Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
The Club is a member of the local Kineton and District Bowls League and is also affiliated to the English Bowls Association, English Womens Bowls Association, Warwickshire County Bowls Association, Rugby Bowls Association and South Warwickshire Bowls Association. 
The Club has a qualified coach and open evenings are held for beginners. Events during the season include 3 Charity Galas, a 4 day Annual Tour, the Annual Duck Race and a Presentation Dinner Dance.
