Matters Arising from Minutes 14-05-2007
Car Parking – J Evans to suggest at the next PFA meeting to add white lines for parking outside the tennis courts.
Security guard issue. A decision was made to employ someone 3 hours per week 7 nights a week during June, July and August and for him to control the use of courts by members only by locking the top 4 courts with padlocks from 3 July. J Evans to investigate and email committee members.
Chairman’s Report
5th court was unplayable some times due to rain and sewage. Discussion took place as to the use of the bottom courts and request from the football club to use as a 5-a-side court in the future.
J Evans suggested purchasing a trophy for B and B Lumley for their long services to the tennis club. R Swift to purchase a glass commemorative plate £40.
A Hodges to put up a list to sign for entry to summer tournament.
Membership secretary report
Membership has increased this year. Present numbers to date 91 last year 86.

Ladies teams this year are struggling for players due to lack for new female players. J Foulkes suggests entering only one team into the league next year if the situation does not improve.

Children in Need night 16 November – tennis section to give a prize £40 to purchase bottles of alcohol.
Finals day of summer tennis tournament to be re-arranged
