Welcome to Pelton Fell Memorial Park Bowling Club

This is the Club's official web site. It is currently under construction. Suggestions of items for inclusion would be welcomed.

Pelton Fell WMP Bowling Club is a Private Club (Unlicensed) situated near the market town of  Chester le Street in County Durham. There is a thriving membership of men and lady members.

The Club is affiliated to the 'Bowls Durham' (EBA) Bowling Association. It is a registered charity, not only catering for the bowling fraternity but also providing various other facilities for local residents and other charitable organisations.

New members (of all ages) are welcome to join. Free tuition is given by one of seven approved instructors - four men and three ladies. No green fees are payable whilst under instruction nor for the use of coaching bowls (all sizes) or regulation bowling shoes. There are wheelchair facilities available for disabled persons.

A new pavilion, built with donations given by Sport England, several other organisations, businesses, individuals and the Club members themselves, was officially opened on Sunday 16 June 2002. It has superb amenities including a large lounge, kitchen facilities and locker and shower rooms. All is accessible to disabled persons.

The membership fee is £20 a year inclusive of Green Fees. Non playing members pay £5 per year and social members £1.

Clubs wishing to play friendly games are welcome.
